Say you have a friend, a wise old friend, been around the block a few times, and now he tells you he's marrying a telegenic, inexperienced teenager he's been on one date with. You try to warn him, she's out for your money!, or do you really want her to raise your children should anything happen to you? But he goes ahead with the wedding plans anyway.
Wouldn't you say at that point it's time to get his friends together and stage an intervention?
Well, where are John McCain's more responsible conservative friends who surely must see his folly?
Because it's not just him that's marrying Sarah Palin--it could be all of us soon.
