Palin & Pork

Idea for Ad:

Voice Over: The Wall St. Journal claims, that in less than two years as Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin "has asked U.S. taxpayers to [spend] $453 million"...for a state of less than a million people.

Cut to: McCain's June "green screen" speech, w/ awkward smile...
"That's Not Change We Can Believe In."

Voice Over: Want real reform? Vote Obama/Biden.

Red states, for all of their whining about taxes, all get substantially more from the feds than blue states. In part it's because the tax system is faintly progressive, and transfers money from the richer (blue) states to the poorer (red) states. But it's also because it's a lot more acceptable to pass out money to white people than non-white people. So a bridge to nowhere for white people is a good investment, but a bridge to somewhere for nonwhite people is an inappropriate subsidy.
