On "Economy is Sound"

John McCain is trying to play word games with American workers. First he said "the economy is fundamentally sound." Then he tried to say all he meant was you, the workers, were sound. If he thinks that's all it takes to have a good economy, then he sure was right when he said economics isn't his strong suit.

Senator, we all know American workers are as sound and as strong as anywhere in the world. But why don't you try explaining to them why so many of them are out of work in this "sound economy" of yours. Explain to them why you spent the last 26 years in Washington helping out the Savings and Loans and Enrons of this world, while you voted year after year against increasing the minimum wage.

American workers are indeed strong, Senator. But they and their families are gonna be hurting a lot more if you and Sarah Palin are elected.
