On the Wall Street mess

Times are pretty tough now economically. But as you've been reading in the papers and seeing on the news, it's about to get a lot tougher. Even Wall Street's scared. So who do you trust when that happens? The party of "you're on your own" that calls you a "nation of whiners"? Do you trust John McCain who admits he doesn't know too much about economics? OR, do you put the people back in charge who gave us prosperity in the 90s and who actually understand technology, trade, and job security. The party looking out for your healthcare, unemployment insurance, and education.

I do so wish that were true. But it was the Democrats who signed off on the repeal of banking regs that would have prevented this mess (and it took them less than ten years to do it too). It was the Democrats who brought us NAFTA, welfare reform (and the consequent and to be expected increase in infant mortality), and the initial claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. I'll vote for Obama, just because the opposition is so awful, but I take no pleasure in doing so.
